Major and Minor Requirements


Studio Art Major Requirements = 12.25 credits

Art 113 Drawing
Art 211 Basic Design
Art 323 Mixed Media
One three-dimensional studio course: either Art 222 Ceramics or Art 232 Sculpture
One two-dimensional studio course: either Art 223 Drawing II or Art 234 Painting
Three studio electives
Two Art History courses: a Western Art History course (112 or 328); an Eastern Art History course (111, 346, or 347)
Junior Portfolio Review (review takes place spring term of Junior year)
Art 401 Senior Seminar (.25 credit - taken fall term of Senior year)
Art 471 Independent Study (winter term of Senior year)
Comprehensive Evaluation (winter term of Senior year)
