The Loop

A Loop is a magnifier for close up inspection of printing documents, schematics or blue prints. Loops are commonly used by Art Historian for looking closely at slides.

The Loop is an online article that will focus on one Art History student or alum every few months. Thus, please check back and find out who is featured and what fabulous things he/she has been doing lately.

Even though I was just an Art History minor at Hanover, Dr. Martin's classes are one of my favorite HC memories.

I graduated with a Master of Arts in Art History and a certificate in Museum Studies on June 10, 2007 from the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning at the University of Cincinnati. I was named the Outstanding Graduate Art History Student and was also named Outstanding Graduate Student for the College of DAAP.

My thesis was entitled "Norman Rockwell's Civil Rights Paintings of the 1960s".

This summer I worked for the estate of the Cincinnati-based sculptor Patricia A. Renick. I helped organize her files for submission to the Archives of American Art and catalogued her collection in preparation for the estate inventory.

In August I began work at the Cincinnati Art Museum as registration assistant. I work with the museum's database software to prepare object records for uploading to the museum's website, making the collection more accessible.
