Reinvesting in Form-R
Form-R
Former
Former investigations History

These investigations started after I began teaching elementary school art.
I found myself reinvestigating basic forms which led me to redefining what
sculpture was to me. On a basic level:
Sculpture challenges
relationships of form
interaction of the whole to its parts
scale
environment
surface texture
gravity
balance
motion
references
itself On a philosophical level:
Sculpture forces one to consider and re-consider their existence and the
existence of that which is. Process:
I create in “organized chaos.” Metal and equipment surrounds me.
Music blaring, grinders going, torches sizzling bacon. All that happens,
happens with instant decisions and reconsiderations at that moment. Think it
Make it
Done.
