In conjunction with Homecoming Weekend, this annual exhibition features Artwork by Hanover Alumni.
Expanding on this exhibition’s past success, this year we are extending an invite to exhibit to as many alumni who are connected to the Art Department as possible! Furthermore, this group exhibition has a special theme focusing on Hanover College’s 2008-09 Capstone – Water: The Rise and Fall of Civilization.

Indiana University’s Wanamaker Collection of Native American Photography

Thursday, January 8 - Thursday, February 5
Reception and Lecture - Friday, January 9, at 4pm with lecture beginning at 5pm

The Wanamaker Collection is a world-renowned assemblage of over 8,000 images taken between 1908 and 1921, and is recognized as the largest and one of the most important collections of photographs of Native Americans by a single photographic enterprise in the United States.  This development and transportation of this exhibition has been funded by the Lilly Endowment.

 
Hanover College Private Art Collection

February exhibition
Every other year the HC Art Gallery exhibits selections from Hanover College's Private Art Collection. This exhibition is also a pre-professional curatorial opportunity for junior and senior Art History majors.

 
Senior Studio Art Major Independent Study Exhibitions
Specific dates to be announced. Each exhibition is one-week long concluding with gallery talks and a closing reception on the Friday of the exhibition
 
10th Annual Student Art Auction

This is a silent auction and all proceeds go directly to the student whose work one has bid.

 
Invitational Group Exhibition of Regional Artists

Monday, April 27 - Friday, May 15, 2009
reception the evening of Friday, May 1 starting at 5pm

This exhibiton will showcase regional artists with a push for breadth in style, media, and subject. On exhibit, there will be two-dimensional and three-dimensional, abstract and representational, conceptual and functional artworks by:
